As a native Floridian, I truly do suffer from seasonal affective disorder. These fall and winter stretches of absolutely no sun at all really start to get to me.
But, instead of dwelling on how much I miss the sunshine, I decided today to be grateful for rain. I planted some fall flowers recently, and they are thriving thanks to the gentle soaking rains we’ve gotten lately.
I’m grateful for the rain so that we (hopefully) don’t face any droughts like Georgia has faced in the past.
I’m thankful for rain that washes away pollen and helps the plants grow.
Even thought I love the sun, I know we must have days of rain to offset. So, thank you Lord for rain!
Will you join me in taking the #30DaysofThanks challenge? Each day from Nov. 1-30, write or share something for which you’re thankful with the hash tag #30DaysofThanks.
