Last week, we received the gift of some fabulous Royal Riviera pears from Harry & David. These pears are my favorite – they are so delicious, they almost taste like eating dessert. I rarely buy them, because they are a bit expensive and are shipped. But they’re excellent! Someone who will remain unnamed sent us a box, and I am enjoying them now that they’ve ripened!
We’ve experienced blessings like this from family and friends a lot, especially since our son was born. We have neighbors who gave us clothes and toys from their little ones who’ve grown older. We received meals from friends and neighbors after I had the baby. A coworker and friend of my husband’s brought us dinner one night because the whole family was sick.
People may never know how these small blessings helped us through tough times. But they are always appreciated and never forgotten. I am thankful that we have such caring and kind neighbors, friends and family who always look out for us when we need help.
Will you join me in taking the #30DaysofThanks challenge? Each day from Nov. 1-30, write or share something for which you’re thankful with the hash tag #30DaysofThanks.
